Lupe Torilla three pepper cheese steak for dinner last night really was the best part of my day. That's the little dish where they take their lime marinated fajitas and slice fresh jalapeño, serrano, and habernero over the top then cover it with melted monterrey jack cheese. Es preety spicy, Gringo. I love it. I found out today that my mother and grandmother are coming to visit me this weekend. I'm really looking forward to having company at the house. It's so empty. I have a Christening to go to on Saturday night for another set of baby-maker friends we all seem to get around this age (or sooner). Every time I am around my friend's kids, I think about what mine and Erin's children would be like... what they would grow up to be... what sort of father I would have been. This particular couple is from India and I've not seen them in a couple of years. One of the first dinner dates Erin and I ever went on was with them in Colorado. My heart has been heavy all morning. Each day has it's ups and downs. This is a down.
Back from our trip to Montreal, the first thing we did was get some Mexican food for dinner. For me, it’s a comfort food—fajitas, burritos, anything with a little kick to it. I found most of the food in Montreal to lack flavor, so it was nice to get home and dump some salsa on something.
I’m glad you’re going to have family around. I’m sure being in that house is a constant reminder of what was and what could have been.
I can’t say anything that would touch what Greg said so I’ll leave it at that.
