Triptofan for all. I sincerely
Triptofan for all.
I sincerely hope that everyone that intended to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday was successful. I was disappointed that my grandmother and sister couldn't make it to our home this year, but only briefly. They seemingly had a wonderful time down south and that's all that counts. Mom and Bob arrived early to beat the holiday rush traffic on Tuesday evening. The weather wasn't the best, but things cleared up for the big day. EL had really outdone herself this year. The feast went off without a hitch and everyone (and their tummies) was happy. Urs and Sandra spent the day with us as well. I'm sad to see mom go... each evening, the four of us would have the chiminea roaring out back, the fireplace crackling in the den, libations flowing from the bar, and the coin toss of good conversation and 'ole fashion card playin'. I don't think I've seen mom and Bob since the big birthday luau EL crafted for my annual aging event this year. We played a short round of golf up at one of the 9 hole par threes in the Woodlands yesterday afternoon. I really need to practice. I rode my Gary Fischer yesterday morning for the first time in a long time. It felt good, but I am low on endurance these days. A desk job with no manual intervention will do that to you. I am lost this morning with the weekend just beginning and my mental weekend already spent. It is a wonderful feeling. I have a few errands to run, but plan on spending some time studying later. I've decided to gain another certification or two to slow my technical atrophy at my current place of employment. The down side is that the funding will have to come from the bottom of my own pocket as my current employer is not large on the cert subsidy. I'm still picking the pocket lint from between the coins, but I think I'll manage. For now, it's off to the bookstore and the Home of Pot for some roofing sealant. I've always wondered why the Home Depot and Lowes superstores are facing each other with only a block of empty field between them on I-45 north, but I'm no marketing analyst, so I suppose I'll just let it go. Toodles.
hehe… I love your after Thanksgiving reports.
A pity about your sis not coming, I was looking forward to an update on her particularly since she featured extensively in ur Thanksgiving munchies pre-EL.
Glad y’all had fun regardless.
All the best with the plans n’ e’erthang.
