Today was crazy busy. I am going to stop at Blanco's with Joe and Dirk on the way home and have a few cocktails... forget about the day... wish Erin Lynn was with me... wish she and I could take a vacation far, far away from here...
Tomorrow is the big day. I fly to Colorado Springs to bring EL home with me for good. Kim's friend Lara is flying up tonight and Kim is flying up tomorrow morning. I'll be there late afternoon. We'll probably have a nice dinner out tomorrow before they tear up the Tejon Street Pub Crawl on Saturday night. EL and I have about 20 hours or so on the road to look forward to before making it home here on Sunday/Monday-ish. I took Monday off... just incase. I plan on taking it easy on this trip. I want it to be more of a "fun and adventurous road trip" and less of a "exhausting, grueling, and torturous road trip". That means things like sight seeing, lots of pee breaks, hotels and room service, lots more pee breaks (for me), etc. This trip has all the potential of being a mini vacation if we just look at it from the correct perspective. Of course, someday I would like to be doing this kinda thing in a private jet, but that's a dream for another day. Today my dream is more about who and less about how... fortunately, she's made it come true. So, like I said before... cocktails to celebrate! I am starting the brain shutdown sequence now so I'll be disengaged from all this work stress by the time I get on the plane mañana. Hidee ho neighbor friends!
