Like every weekend for a couple of months now, this weekend flew by entirely too quickly. I drove my puppies to my mother's house on Friday evening before going to Corpus for "Champaign Thursday" that had unfortunately been postponed. I really wanted to bring Henry and Éclair, but I'm scared Henry will get hurt. I just need to get a grip and stop being such a worried dad. Saturday night was really the only scheduled "event" of the weekend. We all met at the Corpus Christi Town Club for Beth's birthday dinner. Everyone had a good time and the food was tasty. I had blackened redfish and grilled gulf shrimp, but the food that really stood out for me was the spicy chicken tortilla soup. I really liked that recipe. I'm not really a suit and tie sorta guy, but I managed to make it through the evening with the help of some hearty spirits. Yesterday seemed to slip through my fingers. I wasn't ready to leave to go back to work and I can't seem to pick the winning lotto numbers each week, so I reluctantly drove home late last night to prepare for Monday. I was so tired I had to pull off and nap for a few minutes before continuing home. The sky was very active with lightning and it stormed through the night. I've only been out this morning to clean up some debris from the yard, but I can tell the ground is saturated. Rainy days should be justifiable sleep days to employers worldwide. Weather dictated siestas. I'm working from home this morning, but I've been super busy and have to go. Here are some snapshots from the weekend. I didn't have enough battery life to shoot the way I wanted and I forgot my charger. I'll have to plan better next trip.

You are looking distinguished! ;-)
Love the photos. That prehistoric one is bizarre. There’s absolutely no sense of scale without the second photo. It’s like some weird, organic stalagmite or something. Crazy.
I don’t know how you see what you see, if that makes any sense at all, but your pictures are always amazing.
You look great in a suit and tie, btw. Looks like y’all had fun!
Thank you for glamorizing my yard and pups! Wonderful photos!
Weather dictated siestas - now there’s an idea I can get behind!
Buddy & Brutus look like they posed for one of those greeting cards!
Oh! How I’ve missed your photos!
And if I may… grey suit you well. :)
