On June 3, 2006, my life as I've known it from birth to present completely and utterly changed to never again be the same.
I am consumed by blackness and pain. I am lost.
It is simply unbelievable. My thoughts and prayers are for you and for EL’s family. Call me anytime day or night. Say the word and I’m on the next plane to Houston. I am here for you, my brother. And I am so very sorry.

Clayton, I am a friend of Camron’s, have met your Mom and Bob and know you and your wife only through your website. I was shocked and distraught when I heard from Camron this morning and I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Clayton - I live in Ingleside and knew Doc Habluetzel. I have been following your blog for about 3 years. Your wife was beautful, and it was apparent in what little I read and the photos you posted just how much you love her. You are in my prayers.

Beth called me and told me the horrible news. Words can never express. I am so sorrowful. And thinking of you and your family with great love and sadness.
If there is anything at all that I can do for you Clayton, please do not hesitate to ask.

I have been following your blog for years now. I am so sorry to hear about EL. I don’t know you personally, but from someone who has lost loved ones, I know it’s painful; but they are all in a beautiful place now…

I am so lost for words you truly loved this peron and this is just tearing me up inside and on the outside. Be strong and God is testing all of of us and our faith.
What the hell happened? I’ve been following this blog forever and just popped in to see what the latest was and I get this? I remember that first entry where you’d met EL and were talking about her. I thought everything was going okay. I’m so sorry to hear about this. My thoughts and prayers don’t even feel like enough at this point, but they’re with you.
Maybe someone can give us some insight on what happened.

Clayton, I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am. I can’t say anything or do anything that will ease your pain. If only there were words, but of all time is the best healer. Please, stay strong, and know that I am here for you as so many others.....Love, Suzanne

Dear Clayton-
We never met , but Erin was our nanny last summer. I picked up the paper on Thursday and read the terrible news. Erin was such a lovely person. My children adore her and still speak about her often. I am struggling with how to tell them… How can you explain something you don’t understand?
Erin was always so creative, patient and kind. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out.
I can only imagine the pain you must be going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If there is anything my husband and I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Clayton,
The news of your terrible loss has passed through our halls this week. I was very moved by the words you wrote for Erin’s birthday. It goes without saying that the loss of someone so bright and wonderfull makes no sense to us. I do hope that Peace finds it’s way to your life soon.

Clayton,
Man,does God test us in the most horrendous ways. I remember when you and Erin, and Keith and I went out for dinner and a show. It was the first and last time I met her, I can understand your saddness. She was an amazing person and so easy to get along with, being a stranger to me. Keep your spirits high and remember there are others that still need your love and miss you. Call or writeif you need to, 281-259-8235
