I was up till the early hours of the morning re-compressing all of the latest vids. One of the guys over on the Project Greenlight boards had a link to some ColorSync tech I hadn’t read. I thought of it in terms of color DTP and other print related functions but it ended up being one of those tiny bits of info you know is going to change the way you do certain things for a while.
We’d always been disappointed with the video quality we got with our online vids, and even some DV, but we thought it was because we weren’t springing the thousands of dollars the full-blown compression suite from Cleaner costs. Now we know. And, as GI Joe always says, “knowing is half the battle.”
