A little old, a little new. I didn't go to work yesterday to take care of personal business. It was nice to have some extra time with EL... that's someting I'm always looking to find, but also it was nice to have a little time to take a breath and relax. I took a few photos yesterday... nothing to be proud of, but they are all over at the 13th Stone site.
Michael's Photo of the Day post made me thing of photos old and new. I found this guy eating from a flower yesterday:
and finally knew what it was that he and I saw on the that photo outting earlier in the year that brought
this post of his. Mine was
here in natural light. Today,
his photo of the day is from that same outting. His taken with greater magnification and flash on Velvia and mine (below) taken with natural light:
It's really amazing how the same subject changes so dramatically in the method you capture it. A lot has changed in both my equipment and technique since then, but it's good to reflect every now and then. Ironically, the photo I entered recently in that contected I posted about was one of my old S50 shots... Pretty on Pink:
Anyhoo, please take a moment to check out the
recent shots and leave me some feedback. I'm off to breakfast and my follow-up eye appointment. Cheers!
:)
We need to get together again soon so I can see your mad rig in action.
Maybe a nature trip of some kind is in order?
