roflmao… yeah. That guy is my macro hero. He pulls off the most amazing shots with his G3. It’s a common misnomer that digital SLR’s are better for macro. The truth is, the sensor size on consumer point and shoot style cameras is so small that the depth of field is exaggerated. DOF is a huge hurtle in extreme macro, so there is a built in advantage by having a tiny sensor. So, really you are only gaining capability in DSLR macro after spending a lot on specialty equipment… however, after that, the sky is the limit.
