It’s too early. Random camel
It's too early.
Random camel facts:
-- An adult camel weighs between 700 and 1,500 pounds (318 to 680 kg) and is up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall.
-- Camels can live to be up to 50 years old.
-- Camels gestate about 11 months and give birth to one calf.
-- A male reaches maturity in five years, a female in three to four years.
-- Camels actually have three eyelids! Two of them have lashes, and the third is thin.
-- A camel can close its nostrils.
-- A camel, like a goat, will eat almost anything.
-- Pack camels can carry loads of 400 pounds 25 miles (181 kg 40 km) in a day
I was quite upset yesterday when it struck me that I never learn anything these days. I used to learn something new everyday. Now I just work. So, while I was learning random camel facts and how we use DNA sequencing to identify criminals this morning, I found this cool question: What if you take a large sphere and filling it with pressurized air. Inside the large sphere you place a slightly smaller sphere and you attach the inner sphere to the outer sphere with many strings or with fabric baffles. If you were to create a vacuum in the inner sphere, the pressurized gas between the inner and outer sphere would keep the outer sphere's shape. The strings or fabric holding the inner sphere to the outer sphere would keep the inner sphere from collapsing. You could develop a partial vacuum inside the inner sphere... so, would the whole structure float? Interesting.
Anyhoo, I thought I might mention, since the re-observation at Arecebo is in progress, that I process SETI with spare, albeit slow by today's standards, CPU cycles. If you are crunching aimlessly and don't mind joining a group, you can join my seti group here: 13th Stone. If you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, you can read more about it here and download the client here.
I hope everyone has a great day. Go get some coffee. I'm moving here:

Dude, camels rock.
Perl, huh huh..camel. Huh, huh huh
Another fact: Camels can also give you lung or throat cancer.
I will join your Seti group.
I joined the 13th Stone. I’ve been churning cycles all on my own for a couple weeks already.
right on!
