What I’d like to see is a serious debate about the quality of periodical printing here in the US nowadays. Doesn’t matter if you’re Time, Playboy or Road&Track the quality of color plate printing is absolutely horrible when you compare with the same publications 10-20 years ago. Likewise the quality of the paper.
Go to your favorite newstand and look at European or Asian magazines. They still care about quality.
