If there were awards for the most enthusiastic bus driver, my coach captain this morning would have them all. Morning people equally annoy and amaze me. My sister is a morning person. Grrrrr. So, I put our rental house in Virginia Beach on the market day before yesterday. The listing hit the streets around lunch time and by the end of the day, it had been shown four times and I had an offer. I received a call yesterday from my agent asking me to sit on the offer an extra day because in it's second day of eligibility, there were already ten additional showings. The housing market up there must be crazy right now. List your house is like throwing chum in shark infested waters. Mister UPS man delivered my Kenko goods yesterday. The 500D and the set of extension tubes probably won't get used often, but I needed them for my macro toolkit. I ended up choosing the Kenko tubes... which are excellent. The three tubes of incremental size (12/20/36), when stacked, can provide me 68mm of extension. The tubes, the diopter, and my 100mm macro should give me some more flexibility until I can afford the 65mm MP-E macro. That macro lens is my ultimate goal for macro work. Of course, I'll need focusing rails and a crazy tripod for that... it just takes time. The real jewel of the order was the Speedlite 550EX and a Stofen Omni-Bounce diffuser. I also got an extra battery and BG-ED3 battery grip... probably the most to-be-used item in the bunch. I can't ever see taking it off the camera. It's a shame the weather it total ass right now because I wanted to run some field tests this weekend. It looks as though I'm stuck indoors. Last night, EL and I met some of Sam's friends from Switzerland. We all headed out to Papadeaux for cajun grub and hurricanes. I was so tired. I am glad it's Friday for sure, but I have a lot of work to do today. Working tired sux0r big time. Pin up the revolving door to Uncle Buck's. I'll be there regularly.
