My laptop now has better hardware spec than that… and when I boot into my Red Hat partition, it rocks… the problem is when I boot into my Windows partition. Hell, I can run XP Pro in a Windowon my Linux X desktop (using VMWare) almost as fast as running Windows native in it’s own partition… there is something inherently wrong with that…
Oddly enough, I have the opposite problem. XP runs like butter on my Dell, but RH8 is mad slow. Perhaps we need to get together to tweak our respective OSes. Over mojitos, of course.
