I managed to make it to the downtown post office during a break in the rain, but it's weird going there since nine-eleven because of it's location in the federal court building. They closed off all the normal entrances and so you have to go through a big metal detector setup and remove all your extras tidbits of schtuff to be run through the x-ray machines. I'm sure EL is going to wonder why her little package has a "INSPECTED BY U.S. MARSHALS" stamp on the outside. LOL. The line at the post office was huge. I think I was the only person there to just mail one thing... everyone had bags of mail requiring postage... I assume they were Christmas cards (which I didn't send out any this year). I'm really, really tired. I could pass out right here in my office. I didn't sleep well last night. I was invited to a little pre-Christmas happy hour his afternoon, but given the weather and my being exhausted, I don't know if I am going to go. I want to, but man... sleep sounds good. I'll probably go for just a little while. I wish EL was going with me. I miss her. I was going to have these replaced today, but the piercer I've selected is closed today. I think I need some serious coffee... stat!
