I managed to get out
I managed to get out of the office a little early yesterday after all. I decided to stop by the happy hour thing at 5:00, so I took the METRO 25 Richmond to The Harp and saw what I thought was a mugging in progress. That local route swings through some shady territory on the outskirts of downtown. I arrived at The Harp around 5:00 and no one was there yet, so I grabbed a couch and a pint and relaxed for a few before Kim, Leah, Sean, Chris, and Katie showed up. Sean had this crazy Santa hat with lights and deer horns. We met up with Gil at Brasil for some food. I always get their turkey sandwich on focaccia with avocado... yum! The entire time I was thinking of EL and wishing she was with me. I was really tired when I got home and stayed out way longer than I originally wanted. I called her as soon as I got home and the second she answered, I completely forgot about my day. I wish I could blink the next six days away.
Work this morning sucks. I am in the middle of troubleshooting a routing issue that is quite elusive. Intermittent problems are the worst kind to attack because you can rarely get prediction or reproducibility. It's windy and cold here... we must have had a terrible storm last night because there is debris scattered about that appears to be the aftermath of a hurricane. I want coffee... no... I need coffee.
