I found two RAW ‘negatives’

I found two RAW 'negatives' that I took about 5 or 10 minutes earlier than the one I posted previously. This shot is of landscape orientation and closer to the tree. It's a different angle to the sun. The circular artifacts in the foreground are not from lens flare... they are the dew covered spiderwebs that were scattered like land mines in the field (hard to see at web res). Anyhoo, let me know which version you like the best.

ok, this is tantamount to asking me which of my kids I love more.  My God, you take incredible pictures!  And you’re doing this as a hobby?

Do you take action shots?  I’m curious because the numbnuts who take VERY expensive pictures at my daughter’s very expensive basketball tournaments seem to have missed the very expensive training they SHOULD have gotten for the very expensive crappy pictures they give us.  I don’t know anything about photography so I don’t even know if it’s very different (seems like it).  But if your action photos are as good as your still ones, you’d make a killing off parents who love to see their kids playin’ ball.

awe! thanks… what a nice thing to say!

actually, photographing kids sports is difficult… not from a photography point of view, but from a paranoid parent point of view. It seems every parent is eager to jump on the legal bandwagon of sue-happy America and accuse photographers of ulterior motives. Whip out a camera anywhere near a kids spoting event without the school, parents, God, and everyone’s consent prior in writing and your a pedafile that needs to be made an example. Fuuuuck that.

I’d be more than happy to photograph sports, etc… but precautions must be taken. *sigh* It seems so complicated.
