I found some irony in
I found some irony in my employment verification process this morning for purchasing this home. Basically, there are a bunch of rumors about outsourcing various positions. The bank called the company to do my employment verification and guess what... the employment verification service was outsourced. I thought it was kinda funny. Anyhoo, after a few automated menus, I got directed to a web site that I was supposed to log into and create a "salary key" to give the verifier. I couldn't log into the web site because it required a PIN that my employer never gave me. A few calls later, I reached someone that couldn't tell me my PIN, but could tell me numbers and what to add to those numbers to get my PIN when the sums were all combined. Very, very odd. Anyhoo, after that worked, I had to give this newly created "salary key" to the bank so they could go enter it in this hodge-podge web site for verification. Oh, and my boss says my cell phone bill is too high. Funny. Maybe if the company would stop calling me so much to fix problems then I wouldn't need so many minutes. It's just a thought. I suppose I'll just have to start paying my cell phone bill and stop expensing it. I can think of many better ways to save the company money.
