I finished the project last

I finished the project last night... 3 weeks ahead of schedule. It feels good. I was too tired to drive home last night. It worked out for the better because I ended up with a meeting this morning. I also got the opportunity to shoot my friend Tom's work at his place. He is a swordsmith... here is one of his Elvish Leaf Blades:

Nice lighting! Swordsmith, hey? Not many people can say they know one of those!

I knew a swordsmith in the UK, and have been looking for one in the US.  Strange, that… could use contact details if they are available.

Interesting image, impressive, but not in the same class as your other work!

sure, I’ll pass along the interest and see what he says…

thanks for the comment… I didn’t really have a studio on the road to shoot this in so I was improvising with some portable lamps and custom WB/long exposures

one thing different about this shot is that I combined some long exposure and fill flash with light painting with a flashlight to fill in the shadows along the bracers… it shows much more at res

thanks!
