Dreary skies and weary eyes…

I’m still in Monroe. The weather is looking bad… time to start thinking about an earlier flight since I’m on the last boat out of here today. I’m really weary from the travel in the last two weeks. I’m fond of recreational travel when it is done right, but the back to back trips between vacation and work with little or no time at home in between leaves me feeling disconnected. I need a few days of home base and waking up to my little furry critters piled around me with grumbly tummies, purrs, and wagging nubbins. I need some time making ass prints in my couch and cleaning out the DVR’d shit that is clogging the wee hard drive of my Scientific Atlanta (read: Cisco) box I’m forced to use with Crapcast as the only realistic option at this point in my neighborhood. I need some time to run a few dailies in Ogrila and for the Skyguard. I need to finish Drone Interfacing and work on a skill plan to fit Tech II drones in my bay. I need to take a walk in the woods with my camera and sit on my patio with the chiminea burning hotter than the Sun. I need a ride through the countryside on my VMax. I need a bottle of delicious wine and a hot bubble bath. What I don’t need is another night away from home in Monroe, LA due to the weather shittin’ the bed today while I’m in meetings in rooms with no windows and an overabundance of fluorescent lighting. That, my friends, is an understatement.

A buddy of mine sent me a 14-day key for EVE but I haven’t bit the bullet yet.  Sometime this week, perhaps.  I love the look of the ships and the concept of how realistic it deals with space travel but the time it takes to get a ship or a ship outfitted to a point you’re not “anyone’s meat” is extreme.

Mr. Joshua recently got his carrier and explained how it’d be about a year and a half in realtime before I could have something like that.  Wow.  I’m still not convinced the game is terribly balanced or actually encourages new players to an even greater degree than “day one” WoW elitists.

I’m about 6000 or so rep from having my netherdrake.  Blizz is tinkering with rogues again on PTR.  Coming in the next patch AR will no longer be reset by Prep, sending all the HARP (Hemo-Adrenaline Rush-Prep) rogues scrambling for the next killer spec.

I just made a move to LOLStep (20-0-41) with Hemo-Swords.  It’s fun as hell and so far, before the coming buff to Dirty Deeds, I’ve had 1800 hemo crits though my overall pve DPS is lower since I don’t have BF+AR.  For PvP, however, I’m more deadly than ever.

I’m likely going to re-spec to 17-0-43 or 17-3-41.  Maybe.

Ugh, I know what you mean.  During the summer my daughter plays on the Nike and Adidas basketball circuit so we go from DFW to Houston to Atlanta to New Orleans to Nashville to Memphis… it goes on and on.  I hate being gone that long and I miss my dogs terribly.

Hope you get out of there on time!!

I am sorry that you are stuck away from home away from everything you love but I know what you mean about the weather.  I am experiencing for the first time the glories of snow and ice and all that they have to offer.  My only thoughts are “yuck” and “burrrrr”. I believe I will always be a tropical girl and will seek the warmth of my electric blanket.  I love you brother...keep your spirits up, you will be home soon.
