a red hornet building

a red hornet building it's nest
Yesterday was a sad and trying day. Henry went into surgery in the morning to take care of a few "things". I was more worried about the anesthesia than the procedure as he is so very small. He's home now, but quite stoned. I don't know what kind of doggie-heroin they gave him, but he is on some other planet even still this morning. Last night, we found out Theo died. He was my father-in-law's hound dog... a wonderful, gentle pet. He was a true companion for Bob. I feel terrible for his loss. On a happier note, my brother Sean has a female companion-type person that he is quasi-courting for the moment. He deserves a great woman. I hope I don't have to chop her up and chum for Gulf sharks with her if she break his heart. I'm not serious. But if you want to hear something serious, check this out. "Lapses in equipment cleaning at a Long Island hospital might have exposed 180 people to HIV and hepatitis viruses, the New York Times said Wednesday. The North Shore University Hospital notified patients last week they might have been exposed to infection because instruments used for routine endoscopies might not have been properly disinfected." That sucks. I heard on the radio that Velvet Revolver canceled last night's Austin show because Scott Weiland has bronchitis or something. Mike and I have seats at the sold out Houston show for tonight, but there hasn't been any word released as to it's status. We'll see.

This is hilarious. So, they've come out with this new pill you can get for your dog or cat (called Capstar) that will instantly (within 30 minutes of consumption) kill every flea on their body. Freaky.

seats… that’s what us “old folks” call tickets.

Actually, we’re on the floor in front of the stage.

:-)

They gave that (Capstar) to my Max when I had first brought him home (he was full of fleas) since he was so small I had him laying on my chest all that evening.. those things were hopping off of him and dying all over my sweatshirt… purely gross.. but effective! he’s never had fleas again.

awesome pic’s baby.  Did you knock down the hornets nest?  I don’t want to get stung when Im tending to the yard.

Henry update: He is doing much better today.  Able to play with the cats again and eat a full bowl of soft food. All should be well.  :o)

Congrats Sean!  I’m happy for you.

lol - yes, a 45 year old husband with “seats” and a young pup of a wife who does not know who “VR” is!  Sometimes our age difference really shows.

whoa there Tonto… 32 does not equal 45

Get well soon to Henry!

That hospital story is identical to something happening here as well.

(great pics, as usual)
