My Hero. Man peed way

My Hero. Man peed way out of avalanche A Slovak man trapped in his car under an avalanche freed himself by drinking 60 bottles of beer and urinating on the snow to melt it. Rescue teams found Richard Kral drunk and staggering along a mountain path four days after his Audi car was buried in the Slovak Tatra mountains. He told them that after the avalanche, he had opened his car window and tried to dig his way out. But as he dug with his hands, he realised the snow would fill his car before he managed to break through. He had 60 half-litre bottles of beer in his car as he was going on holiday, and after cracking one open to think about the problem he realised he could urinate on the snow to melt it, local media reported. He said: "I was scooping the snow from above me and packing it down below the window, and then I peed on it to melt it. It was hard and now my kidneys and liver hurt. But I'm glad the beer I took on holiday turned out to be useful and I managed to get out of there." Parts of Europe have this week been hit by the heaviest snowfalls since 1941, with some places registering more than ten feet of snow in 24 hours.

Golf is not a race.

Golf is not a race. Contrary to popular opinion, or so it would seem, golf is a leisure activity that is meant to be enjoyed at a medium pace. I don't understand dudes that roll out on a fine display of modern landscape such as Tour 18 and find aggravation and anxiousness. I took my father-in-law for a round yesterday morning. Excellent course and good times where only interrupted briefly by speed golfers wanting to push through the ranks. I'm really sleepy this morning. I went to bed early and slept soundly (I think), but I just can't wake up. Think coffee... lots of coffee.

Hooty hoo! Under covert surveillance,

Hooty hoo! Under covert surveillance, this blogournal thingamahdoobie seems to be under better control than the last time you kiddos tuned in for a served-cold-on-a-plate dose of my dealio. Basically, I have been going through the motions of day to day without much progress to speak of... more this, less of that... you know, the usual RealLife™ schtuff. My in-laws are in town for the first time since EL and I bought this house. It's nice to see them without having to find pet sitters, purchase plane tickets, arrange rental auto, and traverse multiple state lines. Of course, it sucks that they had to travel all the way here as well, but our opportunity to share our home and give them a slice of what we've been up to is a nice change. I've been sippin' more off the 'ole video game hooch bottle since Christmas. Picking up the nVidia 6800GT (256) with Doom 3 got the ball rolling downhill, but receiving HalfLife 2 with Couterstrike:Source and EQ2 for Christmas really got my juices flowing again. It reminds me of the good old days of regular LAN parties. Q3A days. My new truck is working out great. Things in the office are picking up in the new year and we're all getting busy again. I opted out of the New Year's Resolution get-fit frenzy and have elected to just be smart about it. EL and I received pedometers from my mom and that has turned out to be a nice mental seed planted in the direction of better health. I took a short break from photography outings since the last architecture job I did and ready for both feet to do some jumping once again. Sir Henry the Peanut has become a strong and powerful ruler of the household. Revolution in progress. I pulled something in my neck playing golf for the first time in several weeks this weekend. It hurt quite a bit, but there was a family of 8-ish beavers living on the island near the first tee, so it balances out, no? Ahem. Don't listen to a word that guy is saying. I've been going through a lot of firewood at the house. I love having a fire going in the fireplace... crackling and glowing. The weather dipped down to freezing temperatures of recent and the fire really helps warm the downstairs. Our home is not well circulated between the two levels of living space. Other than the occasional professional sporting event and alcohol consumption frenzy, I haven't attended any outings, concerts, liquor store robberies, or inaugurations. In case I wasn't clear before, it was never my intention to stop posting crap on this site. I just needed to take a break to get my disgust under control over the unadulterated rampant SPAM going on. Where the hell are all the white hats these days? *sigh* Back to the grind.

I have had a lot

I have had a lot to say here, but the truth of the matter is this: Blog spam sucks. I have received over spam comments in the last week and I can't keep up anymore. I don't know how much longer I'll even keep this damn blog... why do the spammers have to ruin it? Why?
