EL and I just got
EL and I just got home from what had the potential to be a wonderful night with one of our friends and her date. It started out ok except for the fact that I had to work late and EL had to wait on me for almost 2 hours. When met my friend and her date at Hugo's for our 8:00 reservation and the evening was progressing nicely... then it started to fall apart. EL didn't like her food. My friend was upset with her date. We were all supposed to go out to Guy Forsyth afterward, but it didn't quite work out that way. My friend and her date decided not to go and EL and I felt a little uncomfortable in the middle of their minor domestic differences this evening. We tried to be cordial to my friend's date despite the fact that we didn't even know him, yet our main concern was with my friend and her feelings. We ended up going to Guy Forsyth alone. After a couple of phone calls when we arrived, I was surprised and disappointed at how my friend (and her date) were unfairly involving us in the middle of their dispute as if we were taking sides or something. The bottom line is... we only cared about my friends feelings and our being nice to her date was only in attempt to stay completely unbiased and neutral in the situation. Regardless of what happened to them this evening, I wish her only the best in her endeavors... as I always do. Guy Forsyth was absolutely amazing as he always is... tonight was his last night in Houston before his European tour that will keep him away into the summer. Our evening was cut short by EL getting sick from her dinner. We rushed home immediately because she felt so nauseous. I don't care about much of anything right now except taking care of her... however, I must say that I am very disappointed at how the evening turned out with respect to my friend. I guess you never can tell.
